Dear Hiring Committee,
I want to open with something direct: I've already worked at FHDA. As a Program Services Coordinator at Foothill and Skyline Colleges through late 2025, I provided on-site technical support and endpoint configuration for faculty and staff — diagnosing hardware failures, coordinating with network services on campus-wide issues, deploying workstations to district baseline standards, and writing technical documentation that reduced Tier 1 support volume by around 20%. The Client Systems Technician role is not a pivot for me. It's work I've already been doing here, in this district, under these policies.
Before FHDA, I spent over a year at Faraday Future as an IT Support Specialist where I owned the full endpoint lifecycle — receiving and imaging new machines, deploying software and security patches remotely via scripts and batch files, and decommissioning obsolete hardware — all tracked in ServiceNow with 100% asset accuracy. That discipline and that workflow is exactly what this position calls for, and it's muscle memory for me at this point.
At Rice University, I was the primary on-call technician for classroom multimedia systems — troubleshooting data projectors, cameras, and audio equipment in real-time during live instruction, performing preventative maintenance to hold 100% system availability, and running cable and wiring for new workstation installations. Every function listed in this job description maps to something I've done.
I also bring something harder to quantify: I understand how FHDA operates. I've worked with faculty across both campuses. I've navigated the district's equity commitments, its multi-college coordination, and the particular pace of an academic IT environment where a classroom projector going down mid-lecture is a genuine crisis. That context doesn't come from a resume — it comes from having been here.
My academic background — a B.S. from San Jose State and an A.S. from Foothill, both with thesis work on technology in service of learning and equity — reflects a genuine interest in this institution's mission, not just its job openings. I'd be glad to contribute to that mission more directly as part of the IT team.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
With respect,
